SenderCompass guide

Policies and publishing standards

How SenderCompass approaches accuracy, commercial relationships, privacy and the limitations of educational guidance.

Editorial standards

SenderCompass aims to distinguish checked facts, provider claims, hands-on observations and editorial opinion. Sources should be current, relevant and linked where practical. Material corrections will be reviewed rather than ignored.

Future comparisons will state what was tested, when testing occurred, the plan or account used and any important limitations. Rankings will not be sold.

Affiliate disclosure

This initial website contains no affiliate links. SenderCompass receives no commission when a reader follows the current informational links.

The site may use affiliate links in the future. If that happens, the commercial relationship will be disclosed clearly and close to relevant recommendations. A commission will not be treated as evidence that a product is suitable or superior.

Privacy

SenderCompass is the data controller for this website and can be contacted at info@sendercompass.com. This static launch version does not include user accounts, behavioural advertising or an analytics platform.

Standard server logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp. We process this information under our legitimate interests in securing, diagnosing and operating the website. Routine logs should be retained for no longer than 90 days unless they are needed to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation.

Information supplied by email is processed to answer the enquiry, take requested pre-contract steps where relevant and maintain necessary correspondence. Routine correspondence should be retained for no longer than 24 months after the last substantive contact unless a longer period is required for a dispute or legal obligation. Do not send passwords, private keys or confidential authentication reports by email.

You may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to processing and request data portability where applicable. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us first if you would like to exercise a right or ask how your information is handled.

Cookies

The initial static website does not deliberately set non-essential cookies. If analytics, embedded media or other cookie-setting services are introduced, this policy and the consent mechanism will be updated before deployment.

Educational information and limitations

Content is provided for general educational purposes. It is not a guarantee of delivery, security or regulatory compliance and is not a substitute for advice based on an organisation's specific systems and risks.

Email services, standards and provider requirements change. Confirm current documentation and maintain a rollback plan before changing production DNS or authentication settings.
